Don’t underestimate the power of a much needed break.
The Dallas Mavericks are a bit beat up right now. Derrick Lively likely isn’t playing tonight, Luka has a broken nose that he’s been playing through, and Kyrie has a sprained thumb that he’s been nursing.
This is the last game for the Mavs before the All-Star break, and with a team led by players who have been around a while, you know this squad is looking forward to the break.
Meanwhile, a young and hungry Spurs team, who also happens to be very bad, comes into Dallas without a care in the world. I’m not saying they steal this game, but I do think it’ll be closer than what the 11 point spread suggests.
