Back to the grind we go. Wednesday’s class is now in session.
Today’s Lesson:
Experience is the best teacher. But even with experience, hopping back in the saddle to do something you haven’t had consistency with recently will give mixed results.
On experience – You never know if you are capable of doing something until you’ve actually done the darn thing. You can think and wish something will happen, but action always supersedes hope. The Houston Astros have been in the ALCS 7, count em 7, years in a row. While not every player on the roster has had that experience, most of them have at least had a little, and a few of them have gone through it all. They know what it takes to win this time of year. So although they are down 2-0 to the Texas Rangers, they’ve gone through the ringer and have faced plenty of adversity this time of year through various playoff runs. Nothing will phase the Houston Astros.
On hopping back in the saddle after lack of consistency – Max Scherzer is one of the best pitchers in MLB history. He’s won over 200 games in his career and has well over 3000 strikeouts. But after an up and down age 39 season, Scherzer is being called upon to help the Texas Rangers win Game 3 of the ALCS against the experienced Houston Astros after not pitching in a live game since September 12th. So while the experience is there, the ALCS may be a tricky time to clear the cobwebs.
Folks, we can make some good money betting on the Astros tonight, who are sitting at +110 underdogs against Scherzer and the Rangers. Do you really think the Astros will go down 3-0? Yeah, me either.

My lessons have won you boat loads of loot up to this point, don’t abandon them now.
