Another Wednesday, another opportunity for me to teach, and for you to learn.
Today’s Lesson:
When your back is against the wall, and you’re fighting for your life to survive, the ones weaker than you can’t be the ones who destroy you. If your goal is to be the last one standing, the bigger, more intense fights need to be reserved for the ones who are trying to stand alone on top of the mountain just like you are. The smaller ones have their motivations, sure. They want to prove they belong. They want to knock you out, simply because you’re the one in front of them. But in order to not only survive, but thrive, you can’t let the small battles negatively affect what you’re trying to accomplish.
The Seattle Mariners are one of the best teams in baseball. They just happen have two other teams in their division that can claim the same thing, resulting in the Mariners fighting for their playoff lives. They finish their series tonight against the Oakland A’s, the worst team in baseball. If they want to do anything this year, the Mariners need to handle business this afternoon, and I believe they will.
