Future Loot: Javonte “Pookie” Williams Will Be The Best Broncos Running Back Since Terrell Davis

If a picture says a thousand words, a video says a million:

Javonte “Pookie” Williams is an absolute BEAST with the ball in his hands. Fun fact: Last year, this dude had the most broken tackles out of any running back in college football. The last college back who broke as many tackles as him in a single year? Alvin Kamara.

A more fitting comparison to Williams though would be someone like Nick Chubb. A bigger body with both speed and power. Not to mention, from all accounts, he’s a terrific pass blocker. Not only can he help protect the QB in the pass game, he’s as good of a pass catcher out of the backfield as you’ll see.

Here’s some more football porn to show you what I’m talking about:

The Broncos stole this guy by trading up into the first few picks of the second round to nab him. Broncos GM George Paton and company all considered Williams the best running back in the draft, and I’d be hard pressed to disagree. While Najee Harris and Travis Etienne were drafted in the first round ahead of him, Javonte Williams combines Harris’ strength with Etienne’s quickness to be, in my opinion, the most dynamic running back taken in this years draft.

Williams will split reps with Melvin Gordon this year, but with Gordon on the last year of his contract, expect Javonte to take over as lead back for the Broncos as early as the first few weeks of the 2021 season. Behind a new and improved offensive line, this guy could be in for a monster rookie year.

So how can you guarantee yourself some Future Loot with this knowledge? Pookie has an Over/Under of 800.5 rushing yards this year on DraftKings.

And if that line isn’t good enough for ya, he’s currently at +1800 to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. If you want a “swing for the fences” type bet, this might be your safest pick at the current price.

Football season is almost here. Let’s start making bets like our lives depended on it.
